I was recently asked to do another sponsored video for Nordstrom and it couldn’t have come at a better time. There were a few makeup items I “needed” to get, one I needed an excuse to buy, and I was looking for a few things to add to my closet. You can see me go through the whole thing in the video here, but I wanted to add a few more insights in this blog post as well (which is not sponsored).
I’d say both sneakers run true to size; there’s no need to size up in either of them. Of the two, the blush pink (by Naturalizer) runs a little roomier. The other two shoes are both by Linea Paolo, and they are both also true to size. They’re also made out of suede so they are going to stretch over time (and can be stretched for free at Nordstrom if you need a little more room) so keep that in mind when ordering them or trying them on.
I did also hit the Beauty Department to restock on my supply of the Trish McEvoy Precision Brow Shaper and the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand. They’ve become everyday products in my beauty routine. I also bought the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder for the first time. I’m usually the lightest shade in most complexion products, but shade 1 is VERY pink, so I opted for shade 2, which is more yellow to neutral tone and gives a bit of warmth to my skin. It’s early days yet, but I think it’s safe to say that I absolutely LOVE this product!!
When I saw this sweater in this color on the website, I had to have it! I love that it’s a cotton blend, which makes it warm, but not too warm for my Texas winter. It does come in less vibrant colors if that’s more your thing. I also like the ribbing along the collar and cuffs to make it a little more visually interesting.
I’m obviously having a thing with blush, and I’m still having a thing with camo. I combined the two with this adorable tee which has elbow length sleeves, so I can wear it now under a cardigan or blazer and then keep on wearing it into the spring and summer. It also comes in a grey version if pink isn’t your favorite.
I saw this tiered midi dress on a mannequin in store and loved it at first sight (admittedly on me it’s more of a maxi dress). I love the idea of a loose fitting black dress to throw on for casual days, especially for warmer winter/spring days. This one is especially nice because it’s 100% polyester and it doesn’t wrinkle. I’m planning on wearing this for an upcoming trip to Savannah-either to wear on the plane or for a day of sightseeing.
Then there’s this shirt, which I ordered a couple of weeks ago and at this point I’m fairly sure is sold out on the Nordstrom website:
The good news is I’ve found it in a couple of other websites…so if you HAVE to have it, you can find it at Von Maur and the Sub_Urban Riot website. I also found a very similar one HERE on Amazon, but not in white.
We’re just starting to see the spring fashions hitting the stores, so I can’t wait to see what starts to come in stock next!!
What have you picked up recently?
