Happy holidays everyone!!  With the holidays comes a lot of social demands, and that means my makeup needs to be on point and ready to go from sun up to sun down and way beyond.  I don’t have a lot of time to redo my makeup once I’ve put it on for the day, so I partnered with H-E-B (my local grocery store) to show you how you can put a total look together on a budget using products all from your grocery store (or the drugstore, if you’re not lucky enough to live in Texas)!

And…just for my blog readers, I’ve put up a SECRET VIDEO showing you how to get the full look.  You can only watch it if you  click the link HERE!

I started the look combining two of my favorite foundations to get just the right finish-L’Oreal True Match Lumi with Revlon ColorStay.  That way my foundation will also last a good 15-16 hours!

Then I added e.l.f. Golden Bronzer all over my face to gently contour and warm up my winter white skin.  It also gives a nice glow to the face.

Speaking of glow…one of the standout products from H-E-B is the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow.  It’s incredibly versatile–I used it as a blush and highlight for my cheekbones, cupid’s bow, and the inner corners of my eyes.

Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 8.35.13 AMNow on to eyes!  I’ve been using NYX products since I started my YouTube channel  over 5 years ago, and this Natural Eyeshadow Palette is another great product.  I love that I can pick up my favorite NYX products (including my go-to brow gel, the NYX Brow Mascara) along with my regular groceries! If you’d like to see the step-by-step tutorial of the eye look, please watch the video!  I kept it very natural, with a very light shimmer shade on the lids, a very natural soft crease, and just a bit of smudged black eyeliner along the lash line.  For me, no eye look is complete without mascara, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed using the (new to me) L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar mascara.  My lashes tend to tangle, so the primer side of the two-step tube really came in handy!

I need something that I can slap on and that will stay on.  The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive is perfect–it’s a sort of my lips but BRIGHTER, you can apply it quickly, and it stays put for hours.

Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 8.37.01 AMThat’s it for my day look–and switching it up for night is REALLY easy.  Basically, I just did 3 things.  One-I amped up the contour on my face with another e.l.f. product–the Contouring Blush/Bronzer duo.  It makes the look a little more dramatic and makes it easier to see in the dim light of the evening.Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 8.37.21 AM

The second thing is my number one tip for turning a look from day to night–throw on some red lipstick!  This time I used the Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Poppy.  It’s a gorgeous, moisturizing blue-red that is incredibly flattering to most skin tones.  It also feels very nice on the lips!!  So nice, in fact, that I went back and got another shade!Screen Shot 2015-11-22 at 3.43.28 PM

The last thing I did was the most fun!  I used a product from Joico (seriously, Joico at the grocery store?!! I love it!!) called Gold Dust Shimmer Finishing Spray all over my hair.  It adds the tiniest bit of gold shimmer to the hair, and it makes my slightly dull, colored blonde hair shine!  I think it would look amazing on brunette hair!  Everyone needs a little sparkle in their life, especially during the holidays, so why not add some to your hair?Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 8.34.29 AM

So that’s two looks for the holidays (or any day, really) using products that all came from my favorite grocery store, H-E-B! What products were the standouts for you?  Which items do you think you’ll pick up–or do you have already?  Did you know that H-E-B sells all this online now? Check out their website at www.heb.com!
