Best of 2016 | Lifestyle Favorites
I know I’ve said it before, but I am having so much fun with this series!! If you’ve missed any of the videos, you can watch the whole playlist . But today it’s all about my Lifestyle Favorites from 2016. I think that’s a rather neat and polite way of saying, here are my favorite absolutely random bits of crap that I’ve enjoyed in the past year! I’ve included books, tv shows, pens, planners, tech gear–even a sleep aid! Also, if you’re a book nerd like me (and that’s a good thing), I’ve added a tab to the website called Bookshelf. That’s where I’ll post what I’m reading (and have read in the past year or so). I also have a page called that lists most of my all-time favorite titles and book series, if you’re looking for something to read!
Now let’s get to the specifics! I have recently gotten into candles in a big way this year, and I have two that really stood out. The first is the . It is a warm spicy scent that doesn’t have any sweetness to it-definitely something you can burn in the bedroom, if you get what I mean! The other one is the exact opposite-it’s from and it’s from her new . It’s the and it will make any room in your house smell like the inside of a very elegant bakery. It’s pricey for a candle, but much cheaper than a ticket to Paris! The final scent favorite isn’t a candle, it’s something to help me get to sleep. It’s from and it’s their , which includes a lavender scented pillow spray and rollerball. It’s small enough to take with even when I travel, which is when I need it the most!

The next category of favorites I’d like to say helps with my productivity. Yep, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. First on the list is a new pen obsession. As a lefty, finding the perfect pen can be a full-time hobby. I think I found one! It’s the and I even managed to find them in different ink colors!! Also in this category are two different iPad cases-the LifeProof Nude Case (for reading in the bath or by the pool) and the Speck Metallic Case (for everyday). I haven’t found better options out there, and their price points are, well, right on point! As much as I love my iPad and all things tech, I NEED to keep a paper planner. I keep two different planners. For my entire everyday life, I ordered a . This year I went with one of the new neon designs, with a horizontal layout and no colors. I also keep a to keep track of my YouTube videos and blog posts. I like the large layout so I can plan out my whole month! I also became a fan of the Erin Condren Notebooks. I like the hard cover and compact shape-perfect for throwing in a tote or work bag!

The final subcategory of Lifestyle Favorites from 2016 are TV shows and Books. I won’t go into too much detail here, but a few standout shows for 2016 were Lucifer, Rosewood, Limitless, and The Man in the High Castle. I’d love to get some TV show recommendations from you!! As for books, I’m a big fan of series, and the ones that were either new to me in 2016 or that I finally got caught up on were: by Charlaine Harris; The Cainsville Series by Kelley Armstrong, The Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong, and Stiletto (second in the Rook series by Daniel O’Malley). A stand alone book that I really enjoyed that is a cult classic but new to me was Good Omens. It’s like a Monty Python perspective on the Apocalypse. It was a VERY good read!
