Today’s FOTD is a combination I’ve been playing with over the last few days and I wanted to share it with you. Admittedly, the foundation and mascara are definitely high end, but the focus on eyes, lips and cheeks are decidedly low budget.
Face: YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in B20 over Pond’s Luminous Finish BB+ cream. This combo gives a beautiful, glowy finish that is really only doable on my good skin days. I love how my skin glows with this, but I wish the YSL coverage was a bit more on the medium side. If you use a decent BB or CC cream as a primer, then it’s perfect. If the YSL isn’t in your budget, then a VERY close dupe is the L’Oreal True Match Lumi foundation.
Eyes: Continuing on with the glowy theme, I pulled out my e.l.f. prism eyeshadow palette in nude. There is definitely quite a bit of shimmer here, so to anchor it and give a bit more definition in the crease, I added Mac Kid (discontinued) with a fluffy brush. I also highlighted my brow bone with one of my all-time faves, Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Single in Brûlée. For a budget option for Kid (that also has 3 other Mac dupes in it), go for the Physician’s Formula Classic Nudes quad. I’m still hunting for the perfect mascara, and right now it’s the YSL Babydoll mascara. I can’t recommend a drugstore dupe for it-yet!
Cheeks: It doesn’t get more budget friendly than this-e.l.f. baked blush in Passion Pink. It’s a lovely, soft wash of color that just adds the perfect glow to the face. To contour and add some more warmth to my pale, pigment-challenged skin, I swirled a bit of the Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting in Tahitian Glow on my temples and cheeks.
Lips: If you want to try a bunch of fall trends at once, then this is the perfect lipstick for you, and at only $2 and change, you have to grab it. It’s the Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color in Mauve Outta Here.
