My January Face of the Month (FOTM)

This month is a great mix of some old stand-bys as well as quite a few new products that I’ve been playing with this month.  To see the products in action, click HERE to watch the video.  Otherwise, scroll down for my random comments about the products.

FACE:

I’ve been sticking with my favorite foundation since August- in the shade 02.  It’s a wee bit too yellow, but I don’t care.  I LOVE the finish it leaves on my skin.  I added some new products to the rotation-the and the in Gena Pink.  After finally trying the Clinique Concealer, I can see why Lisa Eldridge loves it.  The consistency is perfect for under the eyes, and it conceals AND highlights.  My first successful foray into cream blush was due to the ease in which the RCMA cream blush blends right into my skin.  I think it’s because the consistency is a bit more firm than usual cream blushes.  I do feel more comfortable layering a powder blush over the cream blush, and for that I have been reaching for another new product (to me), .  Every time I reach of one of the Cheek Pops (I now have 3) they bring a smile to my face.  They’re so darn cute!

EYES:

I stuck with my recent favorites here-mostly featuring one of my choices for Best of 2014-the .  The colors I chose are very neutral and can go with any outfit, at any time of day.  You can always deepen the outer v with a darker color to make it more appropriate for evening.

LIPS:

I’ve been layering a lot, especially when it comes to what’s on my lips.  Most long-wear lipstick leaves my lips dry, so I thought I would just pile on as many products as possible in the hopes that the color will stay on my lips longer.  I can’t say that it works, but I love the color combination of , topped with .  If only I could find a lipstick that combines all three shades in one tube!
