Instagram Round-Up | December 2019
A few comments on both my and direct messages on Instagram brought to light that all of my audiences do not cross-over. So I thought that I would highlight a few of my most recent Instagram posts to those of you who many not be following me there and give you some behind the scenes details as well as outfit and shopping details if you missed them.
Also-in case you missed my last post, the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale is in full swing and there are some amazing deals to be found. My current top recommendations are:
Now on to Instagram!
| | Headband | Kitchen Runners
I posted this yesterday, if you’re reading this blog post the day it gets published. I’m wearing the pajamas I literally slept in, so yes, they’re wrinkled. I didn’t actually sleep in that headband-it’s from a recent Amazon Haul but I threw it on in attempt to look cuter. There is some light makeup involved-I did NOT #wakeuplikethis!! The mug is from a few years ago from Target. I missed out on this year’s Gingerbread Man craze. I have to take a moment to point out my awesome from . They’re 100% machine washable. They peel off the backing and you just throw them in the washing machine. Total game changer! After you dry them (in the dryer) you attach them back to the backing with the velcro that’s attached to it. Super easy. I do it just about weekly.

Look-a nice happy family, right? Ha! This was taken during college move-in week and we were pretty stressed. There was plenty of squabbling going on. But at that moment, all was well. Fast forward to late November and I realized I had not ordered our family holiday cards. OOPS! We’ve ordered from Shutterfly the last few years and really like the pricing and the ease of having return addresses and recipient addressing available. Plus they were delivered really fast! The picture wasn’t Instagram perfect, but we were together and smiling and that’s all that really matters this time of year anyway. On a side note, if you’re in the Oxford, MS area and are looking for a great place to eat, this was taken at Taylor Grocery while we were waiting for our table to be ready. It’s one of our favorite restaurants out there!
Floral Maxi Dress | | | Acrylic Floral Earrings | Purse
The picture on the left was for a sponsored video for Walmart, so I was limited to only wearing pieces from Walmart. I knew I should have worn a belt with the dress, but I couldn’t find anything I absolutely loved and I wasn’t going to lie about it. So, no belt. The picture on the right was styled for just a personal outing with a friend-so I wore whatever the heck I wanted. While I like the dress as it is, I like it so much better with a belt and other accessories. Thank you to all of you who left sweet comments on the original post-and to all of you who didn’t like the dress but who chose to keep that opinion to yourself! 😉
| Sweater | Belt | Jeans | Riding Boots | Purse | Earrings
To me, this is just a classic, casual, outfit of the day. Basic jeans, basic sweater, basic jacket, classic riding boots. I love it. The boots are really old and the exact pair are no longer available, but I linked this year’s model from Coach, which is their brand. They were a splurge but totally worth it-they have softened over time and one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own. This picture was taken at Target while I was buying the belt that is pictured in the post above this, funnily enough. We waited until no one was around and just snapped a quick pick on my phone. All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. The camera is incredible on that phone!!
Bonus Story Picture
This was uploaded to my Instagram Stories-Rowdy was doing some shameless begging for my Latke leftovers at breakfast yesterday!
That’s it for this month’s round-up! Would you like to see me to do this monthly? Make sure you’re following me on Instagram so you don’t miss out on Stories there too!
