Maxi-Dresses: My Summer Staple
When the temperature rises, I pack up my beloved jeans and reach for my summer staple: maxi-dresses. They are the perfect solution to a busy woman’s problems-they cover up legs that you didn’t have time to shave, let alone apply self-tanner to, they allow excellent ventilation during extreme heat and humidity, and they make you look effortlessly elegant, especially when you feel exactly the opposite. The other reason they’re a summer wardrobe staple is that maxi-dresses come in a variety of cuts and styles to satisfy anyone’s budget. My favorite place to stock up on maxi-dresses is. I just ordered this gem in a recent sale (and it’s STILL 30% off right now!) along with a and it has quickly become a favorite.
I chose to accessorize with a , but you could just as easily throw on a skinny belt of any color (I get mine from ) or throw a over the dress and tie it at the waist if the weather gets cooler or you’re warding off the chill of over-zealous air conditioning.
If you’re worried about the length, wear shoes with heels-chunky wedges for day or pretty high-heeled sandals for evening. For this outing, I wore my gold from , but swapped them out at night for my for some added height. I went from running errands to celebrating my oldest son’s 17th birthday dinner with just a swap of shoes!

What do you were underneath for thigh chaffing? Needless to say, I don’t have a thigh gap, lol.
There are anti-chafing sticks you can use on your thighs. Runners use them when they train. I think the most popular one is called Body Glide Anti-Friction Stick.
