The Weekly Vlog 2016 #23 |Getting TSA Pre-Checked
So the highlight of this week’s Weekly Vlog was not just applying to get approved for TSA Pre-Check, but actually getting approved in about 26 hours! Talk about some fast turn-around! As many of you know, I travel a lot by plane, and when I found out that for only $85 I could get cleared for TSA Pre-Check, which means I don’t have to take off my shoes, remove my liquids or laptop, and even keep on a light jacket when I go through security, I jumped on it. Once approved, you’re good for five years! Oh, and it also means shorter lines through security, at least for me. Now to get the rest of my family approved….
Of course, the other big moment of the week was our annual Independence Day celebration at our country club. While it is a private club, every year they open the grounds to the public and put on an old-fashioned 4th of July celebration, complete with games for the kids AND adults, grilled burgers & hot dogs, and of course, fireworks! Our club does add their own little twist, so another yearly tradition is to have sky divers jump out over the driving range just before the fireworks. You can buy paper plates for $1 and place them where you think the skydivers will land. If they land on your plate, you win a prize. I’ve never tried guessing, but it’s fun to watch the kids and as they hope one of the skydivers lands on their plate!
If you didn’t already know, these vlogs go up a week after they actually happen. It gives me more time to edit, and actually LIVE life instead of living in front of my computer screen. So while the didn’t start up when this vlog was filmed, it IS going on right now (early access continues through July 21) and it has consumed my life!! I already placed my first order and can’t wait to film the haul video for you!
