One of the big perks I get as a blogger is advance notice of sales from my favorite shopping sites, and this is one you don’t want to pass up. Like the pretty picture above states, GiGi NY AND their sister company, Graphic Image, are having a 15% off sale (use code FRIENDS15) starting on Monday, June 8 and running until Sunday, June 14 at 11:59 pm EST. What’s so special about this sale are two things: they’re not going to advertise it, and they don’t have that many of them. So in case you’re overwhelmed by the amount of choices, I’d like to show you a few of the items I already have (and bought with my own money) and also show you what’s on my wish list.
The first bag I ever purchased from GiGi NY was the Jessica Tote in black embossed python (FYI-it’s stamped leather, NOT python skin) and it’s a workhorse of a bag. I did a whole What’s In My Purse video about it and I reach for it constantly. My favorite part about the bag is that the whole thing zips up, making it a great travel bag. It comes in 4 colors (at the moment), and the navy option is STUNNING!
I’m a sucker for totes-maybe in another life I was a Mary Poppins type, but I just feel more comfortable when I have everything I could possibly need on hand. I recently bought a small MacBook Air, and I wanted a tote bag that could easily fit the laptop, plus a myriad of other things. GiGi NY recently redesigned their Teddie Tote, and I snatched it up in green.
Now for my personal wish list…
At the top of the list is the Carly Convertible Clutch-basically three bags for the price of one. You can wear it as a clutch, or add the removable strap and wear it as a shoulder bag or cross body. I’m thinking of getting it in white, and I’m DEFINITELY getting it monogrammed (did I mention you can have everything on the site monogrammed?!)
I seem to have a million shoulder bags, but I really don’t have that much in the way of clutches, and I’ve recently discovered that adding clutch with a pop of color really transforms and evening outfit, even if it’s just a t-shirt with jeans. The Uber Clutch from GiGi NY comes in two different leathers-either embossed python or pebble grain, and they come in so many colors it’s best to go to their site and see for yourself. Here are my two top picks:
Now let’s not forget the big holiday coming up in a few weeks…Father’s Day!! Shopping for my husband is not the easiest thing in the world, but I actually found something at Graphic Image that I know he’s going to love and it just arrived on Friday. Don’t worry-Michael doesn’t read my blog!! I managed to combine his love of golf with his love of nice things to display on his desk by getting him Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons in a beautifully leather bound edition.
If golf isn’t your man’s thing, they have a variety of other subjects, including the fine art of mixing a cocktail:
Graphic Image also has beautiful wallets, address books, and even a pet collection. Most if not all of their items can also be monogrammed, and I had Michael’s book embossed with his initials on the cover.
I haven’t even touched on the gorgeous shoulder bags, satchels, pouches, accessories, etc that are featured on both sites. If you already own something from GiGi NY or Graphic Image, what would you recommend picking up in the sale?
