Where Are They Now? July 2012 Favorites

So here we go…another look back at my monthly favorites from four years ago…and this month is especially nostalgic because I started my YouTube channel in July 2010. So as I celebrate my 6 year anniversary here on YouTube, let’s see what I liked four years ago and whether or not they’re still around!

THE KEEPERS
I had ten favorites listed in July 2012, and in 2016, exactly half of them are still around! Actually there was one bonus item-when I filmed the original video, my plumbers were working on my garbage disposal right behind me!! Chambliss Plumbing has been our go-to plumber since 2011 and we still use them whenever we need a plumber. I can’t recommend them enough if you live in the San Antonio area.

Now on to the actual products…

Not only do I still own the , but they’re the actual pair from four years ago! They’ve held up incredibly well! It’s a bit embarrassing to admit, but all of those products are the originals from 2012–it might be time to say goodbye to that lipstick! Another product I’m still using 4 years later are the hair ties from Mane Message. You can pick up similar hair ties at pretty much any drugstore or beauty store in the world, but do the other brands keep their elasticity 4 years later? Probably not! The only thing that has changed since I got mine 4 years ago is that they have expanded their collection to include a lot of other hair accessories. I encourage you to check out their website!

THE ONES THAT DIDN’T MAKE THE CUT…AND WHAT REPLACED THEM
This should come as no great surprise to those that have been watching me for awhile, but the other 5 products that didn’t make it to 2016 were mostly skincare related. Those included a face wash, a mask, shower gel and two beauty products. No shocker here-but almost all of my skincare is now Colleen Rothschild. I think the love affair is going on two years now, and my skin just keeps looking better and better! I used to love Mac Jest but now when I want a pink toned eyeshadow I prefer my options in the or the . Strangely, instead of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer to help brighten under my eyes I use the . So I dropped one Mac product and picked up another! I still haven’t found a better product for brightening my under-eye area that doesn’t sink into my fine lines!
