Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer-A Lazy Girl’s Best Friend

Jergens Wet Skin MoisturizerI will be the first to admit that while I love the idea of moisturized, glowing skin, I’m not that great about remembering to moisturize after I shower every day.  I always mean to, I have the best of intentions, but the minute I leave the zen, spa-like, private confines of my beautiful shower stall, it’s go, go go! First of all, no matter what time of year, I’m always freezing when I step out of the shower, so it’s a rush to towel dry, get the robe on, get my hair in a towel, and from there I feel like I’m in a Formula One pit crew…how fast do I really need to slap on the makeup, the clothes, etc?  I have no idea why I always feel compelled to act like I’m in some kind of race to the finish line when I get ready in the morning-can anyone else relate?  The downside of this Type A behavior is that I inevitably forget to moisturize my body.  By the time I’ve toweled off, robed up, and waited to be sufficiently dry before slathering on the cream of my choice, I’ve already moved on and forgotten that step. Well, I was recently introduced to a relatively new product that has changed my life, or at least it’s changed my skin!  Say hello to the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer.

This body lotion lives in your shower, and for it to work properly, you apply it to wet skin!  Since it’s arrived, I’ve yet to skip a day of moisturizing, which means great things for my skin!  Here’s how it works: you shower like you normally do, then, when you’re all done with the usual maintenance (clean body, wash hair, shave legs, etc.), turn the water off.  Then apply the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer-a dime size amount for each arm, a quarter size amount for each leg.  Rub it in to your wet skin, then get out of the shower and pat yourself dry. Do NOT rinse it off! The lotion is instantly absorbed into the skin, and you won’t have that sticky/slimy feeling either.

Jergens Wet Skin MoisturizerSo aside from the obvious benefit of the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer saving me a ton of time every day, there are some other advantages as well.  In the summer, I’m a big fan of sunless tanners.  There’s no way I’m risking skin cancer or wrinkles with a real tan.  Unfortunately, I have dry skin, which means that if I forget to moisturize, the faux tan fades pretty quickly.  Now that I’m moisturizing regularly, I’ve noticed the tan has lasted a lot longer (as I write this I’m going on a week)! Then there’s the smell.  For me, a daily shower isn’t just part of the routine, it’s a chance to kind of zone out and relax without the kids, dogs or husband pestering me. So I absolutely love the fragrance of the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer.  It comes in three different scents, but the one I have is infused with coconut oil.  There is also one with monoi oil and another with green tea.  The coconut oil version smells like, well, summer. It’s just heavenly. It’s a great way to get the day started!  It also happens to leave me more moisturized than any other lotion I’ve used.  I have no idea how this works, but it does. The Jergens website claims it gives you twice the moisturization in half the time, and I really believe it does.

Jergens Wet Skin MoisturizerApparently I’m not the only one who thinks the Wet Skin Moisturizer is pretty awesome-Allure magazine gave it the Breakthrough Product Award.  Regardless, it’s a winner in my book.  It’s the answer to this lazy girl’s prayers-it cuts down my time getting ready, it works incredibly well, and it smells divine!
