The Weekly Vlog 2016 // Edition #17
As much as I enjoy filming and editing my Weekly Vlogs, I’ve come to really look forward to writing the blog post that goes along with it. I’ve never been good at keeping a journal, so these blog posts have forced me to reflect a bit on my life and the events that have recently happened in it, both large and small. Next week’s vlog will have a big life cycle event in it-Jake’s high school graduation. This week was more of a ramp up to the big day-spring cleaning, finals week, and lots of thunderstorms. Let’s take a look back at some of the pictures below, or have a look at the actual video here:

We continued to experience thunderstorms on almost a daily basis. For the dogs. this just meant more time to sleep on the couch in the dimmer than usual daylight.
I also did a bit more drugstore makeup shopping-this time hitting both Walgreen’s and CVS. If you want to see a video of that haul and what I liked and didn’t like, make sure you’re subscribed to my YouTube channel and watch on June 10th!
I had my first iced coffee of 2016-that means that summer is just about here!! I just can’t drink iced coffees in the cold temperatures, so this really is a mental signal that the warm temperatures are here to stay. This was a skinny iced caramel macchiato. I highly recommend it!!
We finally got a new chair (and a half) for the family room. The dogs had pretty much destroyed the first one, but we got about 10 years out of that chair, so I’m satisfied with it’s durability. This one is a microfiber chair from Rooms To Go, which is not exactly a high-end furniture store, so I won’t be devastated if this chair doesn’t last forever. However, it does look great in the room and it’s really comfortable!!
In case you missed the videos that went up last week, here’s another look (click on the picture to watch the video):
Watch the video to get all the meet-up details!! Hope to see you there!
Hope everybody had a great week and a great weekend-as I’m writing this I’m getting ready for my parents and my aunt to come in from out of town for Jake’s graduation on June 5th. I can’t wait to share this experience with all of you next week! Fun times ahead!! Be well and I’ll see you again in next week’s vlog!
