What's New At The Drugstore

Another month, another look at some “new” (or new to me) finds at the drugstore.  As always, I’ve included the items that I liked and those that I’d take a pass on–just because they’re relatively inexpensive doesn’t mean you should waste your money on products that don’t perform well.

So let’s start with the stuff you can skip and end on a high note…

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
Two words to describe this…GLITTER BOMB.  So disappointing, because it’s such a pretty color without the glitter!

Wet N Wild Photo Focus Lash Primer
I know other people have loved this, but it made my lashes crunchy. Ick.

e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow Palette-Texas
Another one that looked great in the pan, but zero pigmentation or lasting power on the lid.

Then there were the products that were just…meh.  They’re not bad, but nothing to go crazy over either…

Rimmel MagnifEYES Shadows
I found these at Walgreen’s, but even the Rimmel website doesn’t have any info on them. There are only 3 shades available…they’re decent shadows but nothing you can’t get with better quality from Wet n Wild or L’Oreal Infallible shadows.

If you want to try a matte lipstick for the first time, at this price point I’d try one of these.  If you like the idea, there are other matte lipsticks that have better staying power, but these are a good start.

It’s a pretty shade, but it isn’t my favorite of the Rimmel lipstick formulas.

The rest of the products I picked up were actually quite good, and I’ve found myself reaching for them regularly.  Here are the stand outs:

Please take a look at the video to hear why these are such great products…and please let me know what you want me to pick up for next month’s drugstore haul!
