Staying Moisturized On The Road With Jergens

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer
I’m sharing #Jergens in my life as part of a Jergen’s sponsored series for Socialstars

Many of you know that I recently moved my oldest son, Jake, to his college dorm in Mississippi last weekend.  There were a myriad of details to keep track of–I had to make sure Jake packed basically everything he could possibly need to live over 600 miles away from home, I had to get ready for the 12 hour drive there and back, and of course, I had to decide what to wear and what to pack to deal with the extreme humidity and heat that are the hallmarks of a deep south summer.  Most people probably don’t give too much thought to moisturizing when they’re living in near 100% humidity, but I have VERY dry skin, so even in those conditions I need to make sure I have a good body moisturizer.  I also knew that I would be living in tank tops and sleeveless dresses that weekend, so I’d have a lot of dry skin on display if I didn’t pack a moisturizer. I’ve been using and LOVING the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer since early summer, so I threw it in my overnight bag, packed up all of Jake’s belongings, and hit the road!  Unfortunately, most moisturizers still leave me feeling a bit sticky, especially in the summer.Jergens Wet Skin MoisturizerCan you see how green and lush it is on the campus?  Let me tell you, that kind of vegetation is a result of high humidity and frequent rain showers.  To say that it was HOT outside would be an understatement.  I was really pleased with how my skin felt after using the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer in the hotel shower.  I didn’t have a lot of time for personal grooming that weekend, so it was nice to have the moisturizer already in the shower.  All I did to apply it was to turn off the water after I showered, then I rubbed a dime sized amount on each arm, and a quarter sized amount on each leg.  I then patted myself dry with a towel, and I was all done!  From there I just threw on my clothes and focused on Jake.  I found that it not only left my skin feeling moisturized all day, but I didn’t get that sticky feeling when I’m out in the heat that I get with so many other moisturizers.Jergens in hotel
It was definitely a whirlwind of a weekend, and I have lots to say in another post about the emotions I felt and the tips that I have for parents moving their children into their dorms for the first time.  I’m glad that our hotel had a beautifully landscaped courtyard right off the lobby, because it was very important for me to get a few quiet, peaceful moments to gather my thoughts before the big move-in day! Sometimes it’s nice to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, the hydrangeas!Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer
